OUR HISTORY

What started as a dream became a reality in 1981. Bobbie Tuccinardi, with her attention to detail and valued business sense has shaped Sassy into one of the area's finest salons.

On October 1st, 1981, Sassy began its long journey that would take it well into the 21st Century. Sounds old, right? We prefer the term mature. We've watched our business grow over the years as we've watched our clients grow. Many now have children. We look at 3 generations of clients who have become our friends and marveled at how the more things change over time, the more they remain the same.

What has never changed is Sassy and the culture we've created, one of openness, fairness and a close up on style. Sassy has been a true team spirited organization where all staff members work closely with other staff members to insure professional and consistent in all services.

Bobbie Tuccinardi, founder of Sassy, has worked over the years educating herself at such well known schools as Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy, Minardi's and Pivot Point. Bobbie has always felt education has been the corner stone of our business. "It makes us true professionals in our craft." This knowledge is shared with staff members on a regular basis.

Bobbie has worked relentlessly in exploring new business ideas through Strategies, a management company in Centerbrook, Ct. Their message is clear in that Sassy's focus remains on keeping our clientele not only well groomed but the main focus of our business.

After 30 wonderful and exciting years at Midtown Plaza, Bobbie decided it was time for a change. After meeting with her staff and careful consideration, we decided to relocate to beautiful Siesta Key. Located just six miles from Midtown Plaza, we have found the move was right for us. Located within the Foxy Lady Boutique and looking out on our gorgeous beach, we truly are in Paradise.

Our accommodations are smaller but with careful planning we offer all the services that we performed in a much larger space. We were so pleased to be able to also offer massage to our extensive service menu. Also new we are open 7 days a week. Sunday's were added as a regular service day.

We also initiated this year a Client Rewards Program. Points will be rewarded for services that our clients will be able to use towards payment of future services. Sassy has every intentions of being a Top Salon in the Sarasota area. Through constant education of our staff and attention to our client's wishes we are constantly building Sassy as a name synopsis with style.

We sincerely thank all of our clients and friends who have helped makes Sassy Hair a house hold name in Sarasota.
